Purchased a worm bucket and dirt for composting
Purchased An Inconvenient Truth for our library
Celebrated White Cane Week (Blind Awareness) with simulation exercise

Also donated to World Wildlife Fund, Tarahumara Children’s Hospital, Unicef to help rehabilitate child soldiers, Foster Parent’s Plan, a Namibian Pre-School

Other school efforts:
Teacher Diane Rizutto and her son Diego made a donation to World Wildlife Fund as a gift to the staff.
Terry Fox Walk/Run raised $844
We had a Charity Fair. Each class and group designed a fundraiser (sale, raffle, activity) with the proceeds going to a charity of their choice.
Christmas Bazaar by parents raised $2500 for Santa's Anonymous and the Food Bank. School families donated gently used items for a bazaar, and students could buy items for their families for Christmas for $1 a piece.
We had a penny drive for Pennies for Peace and raised $1011.55. Mrs. Rushdy and Mrs. Roy agreed to be taped to the wall in the gym with all the students watching if we reached our goal of $1000!.
Diego Rizzuto raised over $200 for endangered animals with a Webkinz raffle at our Charity Fair
3K raised $91 to help Endangered Manatees
