Made chocolate cookies and located ingredients on map of the world. Discussed international trade, and how many resources come from developing countries.
Zachary Hope (student) role played Christopher Columbus for the 500th anniversary of Columbus "discovering" America. We interviewed and videotaped him, learning about colonialization and indigenous people.
Decorated
a tree with Valentines (25 cents each). Donated $50 to Red Cross.
Decorated a tree with shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day writing things we are lucky to have.
Raised $100 for "adoption" of Kenya Elephant by selling book marks
Made a display of household items and where they come from in the world
Held an international fashion show for the school with the Ft. McMurray Multicultural Association
Made a Calendar "What Everyone Needs" with Global Education information, opinions and drawings by students. Donated $100 earnings to Friends of The Earth.
